80 Scheduled Maintenance Message
This message appears when the printer maintenance counter determines that maintenance is due. Our Lexmark Maintenance Kits contain the parts that wear and require periodic replacement to maintain print quality and reliability. An internal counter tracks the number of pages printed and alerts the user of the need to perform printer maintenance.
Save time and money -- maintain your own printer with our Lexmark maintenance kits. Our Lexmark maintenance kits contain the necessary parts to perform the printer maintenance. Most kits include a fuser assembly, transfer and charge rollers, pickup rollers, feed rollers and separation pad.
The 80 Scheduled Maintenance error appears when you first power on the printer. The printer will still work even though it is in a maintenance condition. To clear the message temporarily and continue using the printer, simply press the Go button on the printer's screen. The printer will still operate even if you do not have the kit replaced, but you may experience some print quality problems.
You are required to purchase the maintenance kit and have it replaced even if the printer is still under warranty. Some maintenance kits can be installed without the assistance of a technician. However, warranties cover on-site installation of the maintenance kit by a technician AFTER you have purchased the kit.
